Sean and Gareth embarked on their dental journey together, meeting at Leeds University in 2006 and continuing their studies together. Remaining firm friends, they had a long-held ambition to own a practice together and finally the opportunity arose in 2017 when they purchased ‘Ellis Dental Practice’. Rebranding as ‘Pontefract Dental Care’ in 2019 we relocated to a purposed built practice with three state of the art surgeries and importantly, accessible facilities. To keep up with demand in 2021 we expanded further by adding two more surgeries. We were also joined by Sean’s wife Rebecca who took on the role as business manager responsible for the day to day running of the practice (a former lawyer with a keen eye for detail).

We have invested heavily in the latest technology and equipment using the best materials to deliver top quality dental treatment for our patients. We have embraced the shift to digital dentistry, maximising the use of intra-oral scanners and digital treatment plans enabling patients to visualise their smile journey. We recently purchased a CBCT scanner which is predominantly used for implant treatment.
